Meet Rebecca Morgan, Project Development Manager

Updated: May 3, 2023

Each month we will bring you behind the scenes to put the well deserved spotlight on our staff that help us make a difference to communities throughout the North East. This month meet Rebecca Morgan, Project Development Manager!

Can you give an overview of your role?

I am a Project Development Manager and part of the Senior Management Team. In my day-to-day role, I support Project Leads to ensure they have everything they need to run the projects in line with commissioner requirements and within budget. All of our projects contribute to PCP’s mission of Health, Wellbeing and Learning for all. I work across the North East covering 5 Healthwatch projects and a range of other community based programmes in Stockton on Tees.

Describe a day-to-day in your role

Every day is different – I meet with Project Leads and teams in PCP to support them to deliver their outcomes, attend meetings and events, write reports and funding bids, meet with external strategic stakeholders and partners to ensure that our projects are running smoothly and meeting our PCP aims and objectives, as well as developing our role in the wider health and wellbeing landscapes.

What do you like about working for the PCP?

The PCP values drew me to the organisation to begin with, and I try to embody those principles in the way that I work and the way I manage the teams. I enjoy working with like-minded people who value one another and want to make a difference in their role.

What is the most rewarding aspect of the role?

For me, it has been supporting Project Leads to be able to lead their projects, and seeing the difference that they make to the people in their local communities. I am a great believer in taking a collaborative approach and working together for the best outcomes.

Has there been any additional training you’ve done since you started working for the PCP?

Not yet, I have focused on embedding my knowledge of the internal policies and training for PCP, but will be looking at other opportunities in the future.

If you are interested in joining our team, we have lots of opportunities across the North East and in sectors inclusive of health and wellbeing.
