Making a comeback from COVID - a social club for adults with learning and physical disabilities

Members of the Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP)’s Options service are over the moon to reunite each Thursday evening for a get together with friends to promote learning, independence and have some good hearted fun.

Carol Gaskarth, Chief Executive of PCP, said: “On Thursday 12 May we held an opening ceremony to mark the return of our Options Social Club. Myself, PCP staff and Options members old and new were overjoyed to be together once again.

“Options is PCP’s longest running service and this is the first Options Social Club since March 2020 so it’s a very special occasion worth celebrating!”

PCP’s Options Social Club occurs weekly on a Thursday and offers a chance to have fun, socialise and meet new friends. Members can get involved in activities such as bingo, games of pool, board games and more!

Options welcomes those aged 16+ with a physical or learning disability, and neurodiverse. Hosted at the Pioneering Care Centre (PCC) in Newton Aycliffe, tickets are £4 per Options member with refreshments available on site at the Garden Kitchen Coffee Shop.

PCP aims to promote independence, choice and social inclusion through its Options service.

We invite old and new faces to meet the team and our fantastic members of Options, try your hand at some challenging games and have fun every Thursday evening from 6pm to 8pm! For more information, contact the PCC on 01325 321234.
