A walk in the park raises £831.62 for Together 21

Together 21, delivered by health and wellbeing charity Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP), has raised an incredible £831.62p for children with Down syndrome and their families.

Families, children, young people and supporters completed an annual sponsored walk in Preston Park, Stockton, demonstrating their determination and community spirit while raising vital funds for Together 21.

The money raised will help Together 21 continue providing support, activities and opportunities for children and young people with Down syndrome and their families. The service offers a welcoming environment where families can build friendships, develop skills, boost confidence and celebrate achievements together.

Joanne Walker, Disability Services Development Officer, said: "Thank you to everybody who took the time to sponsor Together 21.

"'A Walk in the Park' is held in the lead-up to Down Syndrome Awareness Month in October and gives participants the opportunity to come together and celebrate the achievements and potential of children and young people with Down syndrome.

"We would also like to thank everyone who took part, donated and supported the event. The generosity shown by the local community will help us continue making a positive difference to families across the region."
