Catch up with Healthwatch County Durham

Following a year of adapting to new ways of engaging with local communities, Healthwatch County Durham are pleased to continue delivering their work plan for 2021 - 2022.

Delivered and managed through Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP), Healthwatch County Durham have four focused working areas following a public vote. The four areas are:

  • Getting help from your GP

  • Home care services

  • Young people's mental health services

  • Diagnosis and treatment for cancer and other conditions

Their team are also committed to continuing to support:

  • Volunteering

  • Information and signposting

  • 'Enter and view' visits

Healthwatch County Durham are working hard at home, following Government guidance. Although face-to-face visits are currently not able to take place, their team are still here for you behind the scenes to offer support, advice and a platform to share your views to shape health and social care.

Now more than ever, your voice matters. You can share your feedback regarding GP visits during the COVID-19 pandemic, to improve and shape future services.

The team are currently appealing for members of the LGBT community to come forward to share their feedback on GP services during the pandemic.
