Wellbeing for Life have created a #12DaysofWellbeing advent calendar on their social media channels, finished with a ‘Wellbeing Day’ inspired by the Norwegian term 'Hygge'.
The service Wellbeing for Life (WBFL) is commissioned by Durham County Council and delivered by the County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust and the Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP). All organisations have extensive knowledge and experience of working and supporting local people across County Durham.
The Wellbeing for Life service has a team of Wellbeing Practitioners that offer group and one-to-one support to improve people's lifestyles in day-to-day life.
After almost two years of services being delivered virtually, WBFL designed #12DdaysofWellbeing to engage with their growing social media count. Using messages from groups the organisation hosts, staff members have created videos batch cooking healthy meals for under £5 per portion, as well as top tips to save money and eat better.
WBFL started #12DaysofWellbeing on December 2, in order to finish the cycle on December 13, which the team classed as their ‘Wellbeing Day’ inspired by Hygge, a word for a mood of being comfortable conviviality with feelings of wellness and contentment. As the festive season can often become very stressful, Wellbeing for Life want to remind you how vital it is to look after yourself.
Staff were encouraged to take photos of them relaxing in a comfortable place at home – wrapped up warm spending time doing what makes them feel calm in the chaos of the festive season. WBFL want you to remember it is not a luxury to take care of yourself.
