Does your community group or organisation need a funding boost?

The Happiness Hubs grants programme is back to spread community cheer in County Durham and Darlington, with up to £7,500 available for applicants that meet the criteria.

Applications are now open for those that offer safe spaces and activities for local young adults to meet, make friends, talk and feel supported, with the ultimate goal to help communities live happier, healthier lives.

Both the County Durham NHS Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and North East charity, the Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP), are thrilled to relaunch the next round of funding.

Sandra Roberts, Project Lead of Mental Health Services at PCP, said: “We are excited to welcome new applicants for the next round of funding, with a particular focus on projects that support the mental wellbeing of young adults ages 18 to 25 years in County Durham and Darlington who are transitioning to Adult Mental Health Support Services.

“For this round of funding we have £25,000 available to support local groups and orgnisations to deliver projects to our target audience.“

Previous rounds of funding have seen community organisations that support veterans, new mothers, men and women, older people, young adults, people with learning disabilities receive funds.

The next round of funding will see community organisations and groups awarded grants between £500 and £7,500, with expectation of projects lasting between 12 and 18 months.

The grant scheme is a part of County Durham CCG’s commitment to Community Crisis Care Transformation delivery, with funding criteria available to both launch or extend current projects that provide non-crisis mental health support.

Applications will be reviewed by a panel in July 2022, so please submit your application no later Monday 20 June 5.00pm.
