Charity staff put their best feet forward in support of World Mental Health Day by organising wellbeing walks across the region where it operates.
From Stockton to Newton Aycliffe, to Sunderland and Durham, the groups of motivated walkers brought their canine friends and blew the cobwebs away, whilst enjoying some fresh air, exercise and a friendly chat.
In the lead up to World Mental Health Day, Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP) shared a range of support on social media. It is now recognised as global campaign raising awareness of mental health stigma and discrimination as it educates the population on how to support those struggling with mental health conditions.
As COVID-19 restrictions were lifted, PCP staff were encouraged to take part in walking meetings to help reconnect with colleagues, stay active and enjoy a break from working from home. Regular group walks are a great way to break a regular routine, check up on friends and talk about any problems you have.
One of the many benefits of working at PCP is being allocated dedicated wellbeing time each week, helping to create a better work-life balance and reduce stress levels during the working week. Staff are encouraged to get fresh air and exercise or relax and de-stress during this time.
