Wellbeing for Life is encouraging County Durham businesses of all sizes to invest in their employees through a newly updated programme of free health and wellbeing courses, following the launch of its Lifelong Learning Prospectus.

As workplace wellbeing continues to be a priority across all sectors, the initiative gives employers an accessible way to equip staff and managers with skills that contribute to healthier, happier and more productive organisations.

Created to address current workplace challenges and emerging health priorities, the offer provides valuable development opportunities that help individuals and teams build resilience, confidence and positive workplace cultures.

Fully funded by Durham County Council, the learning opportunities are available to anyone living or working in County Durham and include a wide range of accredited and non-accredited qualifications and workshops. Sessions are delivered online, within local communities and directly in workplaces for larger groups.

Subjects featured in the new prospectus include Mental Health Awareness, Mental Health Awareness for Line Managers, Adult Mental Health First Aid, Stress Awareness, Resilience, Communication Skills for Positive Behaviour Change, Making Every Contact Count (MECC), Suicide Awareness, Menopause Awareness and Healthy Lifestyle courses.

Lindsey Wood, Head of Programmes and Impact at Wellbeing for Life, said: "We are excited to launch our new Lifelong Learning Prospectus. Developed to meet the evolving needs of today's workplaces and communities, the offer provides relevant, engaging and impactful learning opportunities that support both personal wellbeing and professional growth.

We encourage businesses, from small local enterprises to larger employers, to explore the prospectus and take advantage of this fully funded opportunity to support employee development and wellbeing."

Organisations can also arrange dedicated workplace sessions for groups of eight or more employees, enabling learning to be delivered at a time and location that best meets operational requirements.
