It was a night of celebration and community spirit as Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP), a vibrant health and wellbeing charity, walked away with not one, but two prestigious awards at the Make Your Mark Awards hosted by Aycliffe Business Park.
PCP was crowned Service Business of the Year, recognising the organisation’s continued commitment to delivering support throughout the region. The excitement didn’t stop there. Carol Gaskarth, PCP’s inspirational Chief Executive, was also awarded Business Person of the Year for her passionate leadership and dedication to improving lives across the region.

“Every award and accolade PCP receives is a reflection of the heart and soul of our team”, said Carol. “Our mission of ‘Health, Wellbeing and Learning for All’ is only possible because of the incredible people I have the privilege to work alongside every day. Their dedication, compassion, and drive to support communities continues to inspire me – and I’m so proud to see that work recognised.”
Dame Dela Smith, PCP Trustee, said: "Carol celebrated her 20-year work anniversary during 2023-24 - she is outstanding. Her commitment to the PCP has been unquestionable. She gives above and beyond with a reputation amongst the sector as the very best. Some of her achievements include achieving Gold status from Investors in People, investment of £1.1 million for a new hydrotherapy pool, extending PCP's Options service provision and therefore choices, securing £12,703,637 for project delivery for future years and much more."
