Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP) has been confirmed as sponsor of the Role Model of the Year category at the 2026 Make Your Mark Awards, reinforcing its commitment to recognising the people who make a genuine difference across Aycliffe Business Park and the wider community.
The annual awards, delivered by Resolution Media and Publishing on behalf of Aycliffe Business Park, celebrate the individuals and organisations driving success, innovation and impact across one of the UK’s largest business parks.

The Role Model of the Year category shines a spotlight on those who lead by example – inspiring colleagues, supporting others and embodying the values that make Aycliffe such a strong and collaborative place to work.
PCP, a long-standing and respected charity with its roots in Newton Aycliffe and services across the region, understands better than most the power of positive leadership and community influence.
Having enjoyed success at last year’s awards, the organisation returns in 2026 not as a winner, but as a sponsor – helping to champion the next generation of workplace role models.
Carol Gaskarth, PCP Chief Executive said: “We’re incredibly proud to be a sponsor this year, and Role Model of the Year feels like a perfect fit for PCP.
“Supporting people to grow, thrive and fulfil their potential is one of the most meaningful things we can do as leaders. Positivity, coaching, and sharing our skills and experience are central to who we are as a charity and how we create real impact.
“As a local organisation, we know the Make Your Mark Awards are highly respected, and the evening is always a fantastic opportunity to connect with passionate, talented people who are dedicated to making Aycliffe an outstanding place to work, learn and live.
“PCP was honoured to take home two awards last year; an achievement that demonstrated the dedication and commitment of our incredible team.
“It’s people who make the difference. We’re here to champion success, celebrate others, and shine a light on the amazing contributions made across our community. I can’t wait to hear more inspiring stories this year.”
The Role Model of the Year award is designed to recognise individuals who go above and beyond in their workplace – whether through mentoring, championing wellbeing, supporting apprentices or fostering an inclusive culture.
Judges will be looking for those who demonstrate integrity, leadership and a genuine commitment to helping others succeed.
ABPC board member Jackie Reynolds said PCP’s sponsorship was perfectly aligned with the spirit of the category: “PCP is an organisation that puts people at the heart of everything it does.
“The Role Model of the Year award is about celebrating individuals who influence others in a positive way, who raise standards and who make Aycliffe Business Park stronger through their actions.
“It’s fantastic to have PCP supporting this category because they truly understand that businesses are built on people – and when you invest in people, you strengthen the whole community.”
With entries now open for the 2026 awards, the Role Model of the Year category promises to once again highlight the inspiring stories behind Aycliffe’s continued success – stories of leadership, kindness, resilience and ambition.
And with PCP backing the award, those stories will be celebrated by an organisation that knows first-hand the power of people to shape workplaces and communities for the better.
PCP would like to thank Aycliffe Business Park for allowing us to sponsor the Role Model of the Year category. We can't wait to spend the evening with all those that make a difference across Aycliffe Business Park and the community.
