North East charity, Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP), has reaffirmed its commitment to its people by achieving Gold status from Investors in People (IIP).

Carol Gaskarth, PCP Chief Executive said: “We are honoured and thrilled to be among the small percentage of organisations that achieve IIP Gold. This reaccreditation is especially meaningful because it reflects the voices, experiences and opinions of our workforce.”

The IIP assessment involved a comprehensive review of staff experience across the organisation. The IIP team conducted group discussions, one‑to‑one interviews, and gathered anonymous feedback through an all‑staff survey to understand how employees feel about working at PCP.

Key highlights from the report include:

  • 94% of staff believe PCP has a positive impact on society

  • Over 90% feel encouraged to use their initiative

  • All 9 Investors in People indicators scored above both Investors in People and industry averages

  • Our overall engagement score is rated as "Exceptional"

Carol added: “Our achievement of Gold directly reflects how PCP works towards our mission of Health, Wellbeing and Learning for All; every interaction, every service delivered, every challenge overcome and every act of kindness contributes to the positive impact we have on people's lives. The report repeatedly highlights the passion, commitment and social purpose that exists throughout PCP.

“We are incredibly proud of the culture we have built together, and this award reinforces our commitment to continually investing in our team.

“By prioritising our people, we’re ensuring that those who care for our local communities feel valued, supported, and equipped to make the greatest impact.”

The assessor also described PCP as having a culture where people feel empowered, supported and encouraged to perform at their best, and that PCP has built "strong foundations and a culture people believe in."
