Your Young Opinions: The Friendship & Community Survey

Your participation in this research will be confidential and anonymous.

Confidential means that we will not share your identifiable answers with anyone outside of our research team. If you were invited to do this survey via your employer, or through another third party – e.g., a school, Jobcentre or community group – then these people will not be to access the answers you gave.

 

Anonymous means that when we make reports from our research, we will make sure that individual people cannot be identified. We will not use your real name, date of birth, or anything specific about you (e.g., the name of your village or your employer) that could allow readers to guess who you are.

 

This research is fully compliant with GDPR (data protection) laws. This means we follow strict protocols to keep any data that identifies you secure.

 

Personal data such as your email or telephone number will be destroyed at the end of the research project and will never be passed on to third parties without your permission. We never collect IP addresses for people who respond online.

 

We will use these results to report back to our communities and service providers, the public, and other researchers. By taking part you agree that your anonymised responses can be used for any purpose that might offer benefit to or greater understanding of individuals’ and communities’ wellbeing either now or at a later date. Remember, your answers will not be traceable back to you in this anonymised research.

The full terms and conditions for the Your Young Opinions: The friendship and community survey are set out below and are available by post if requested.

Your Young Opinions: The friendship and community survey (the “Prize Draw”) is licensed by the Gambling Commission under the Gambling Act 2005.

Promoter: Pioneering Care Partnership (“PCP”), Carers Way, Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, DL5 4SF.

1. By entering the prize draw, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Any Raffle entry and participation instructions form part of these Terms and Conditions. Any entries not complying with these Terms and Conditions will not be valid.

2. This Prize draw is open only to questionnaire respondents aged 16 years or over who live in Great Britain. Any person who has entered the Raffle and who is found to be under 16 years of age will automatically forfeit any prize. The Promoter reserves the right to require proof of identity and age.

3. The Prize Draw is not open to PCP employees or their immediate families.

4. Entry to the prize draw is available to all people who continue the questionnaire until its end. Your right to enter is not affected by the content, quality or quantity of your answers. Participants who skip sections or leave questions blank are still eligible to enter. In the instance that a technical error occurs when completing the survey that prevents you from reaching the submission page, please send us an email so that we can enter you to the competition on our behalf.

5. The prize draw will be open until either the online survey has been closed to new respondents. The winning entries will be selected from all entries received by this date. Winners will be notified within 28 days of the draw.

6. Prizes are subject to availability and the Promoter reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value. Prizes are non-transferable, non-negotiable and no cash alternative will be available.

7. PCP will publish that that the draw has been won, following each draw that is made. The prize won and which area the winner was from, i.e Great Aycliffe and Middridge, will be published, however will not publish your name, location or an image of you without your explicit consent. We may approach you for consent and ask you to agree to an image being taken and press coverage relating to the draw. Any such coverage would never be linked to your questionnaire answers or compromise the anonymity and confidentiality of your answers, beyond making public that you had participated in the survey.

8. The Promoter reserves the right to reject your entry and/or award any prize to an alternative winner if the Promoter has grounds to believe that you have breached any of these Terms and Conditions, acted fraudulently or illegally, or on other reasonable grounds and the Promoter shall have no liability to you for any loss or damage arising from the Promoter exercising such rights.

9. The Promoter reserves the right to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the Prize Draw in whole or in part in the Promoter’s sole discretion.

10. The Promoter shall not be liable for:

• the Promoter’s failure or inability to contact you and/or award any prize due to any errors,

· omissions or inaccuracies in the contact details you have provided or your failure to update these if they change;

• loss or damage incurred by you in connection with your participation in the prize draw or

· your use of any voucher; or

• any failure or delay beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control.

11. The Promoter may amend these terms and conditions at any time, but will notify you of significant changes before these come into effect

12. These terms and conditions are governed by English law and entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

13. The Promoter’s decision in all matters relating to the prize draw is final. The Promoter operates a complaints and disputes procedure which is available on request.

14. The Promoter is committed to operating the Prize Draw in a socially responsible way. If you or a family member feel that you are experiencing problems with gambling, you can seek advice and support from GambleAware via their website at www.gambleaware.co.uk (link is external) or from the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133.
