Adult Social Care Lived Experience Group (LEG) Middlesbrough

The Lived Experience Group (LEG) brings people together to help shape Adult Social Care in Middlesbrough. It’s a safe, welcoming space where your experiences, ideas, and feedback can make a real difference.

This is about working with people, not just asking for views, helping improve services so they better reflect what matters to local communities.

Our groups:

You can get involved in a way that feels right for you:

  • Hope for Homeless – for people with experience of rough sleeping

  • Grow as Friends – for people with a learning disability

  • Care for Carers – for carers supporting others

Joining is simple. You can, email or telephone us, drop into one of our sessions.

Our group is all about co‑production - people with lived experience will be in the driving seat, helping shape how adult social care services work in Middlesbrough.

Hope for Homeless group

If you are sleeping rough, sofa surfing, living without stable housing, or have experienced homelessness in the past, we would like to hear from you.

We want to understand what life is really like, and find out what has helped you, made things harder, not worked, or could work better. Your experiences help shape local services work in Middlesbrough.

The sessions are informal and friendly, providing a supportive and non-judgemental space to share your experiences. No meetings experience needed. Come along to talk, listen, grab a hot drink, or just find out more.
