COVID-19 (Corona Virus) UPDATE
Pioneering Care Partnership urges you to stay safe at all times. Here is our update, as well as postponed / cancelled activities. Please stay updated with our social media platforms for regular updates.
Coronaviruses can be spread when people with the virus have close, sustained contact with people who are not infected. This typically means spending more than 15 minutes within two metres of an infected person.
The Government Strategy is to delay transmission across communities and keep people safe. On 16th March 2020, The Prime Minster outlined measures to be implemented, including:
The general population is advised to:
stop non-essential contact with others and to stop all unnecessary travel;
avoid social gatherings (big or small) and
avoid pubs, clubs, theatres and other such social venues.
Vulnerable Groups are determined to be:
People over 70 years old:
People with serious chronic condition; and
Government advice for people in the above categories is to shield themselves from non-essential contact for a period of 12 weeks.
If you consider yourself to be in one of the vulnerable groups above we recommend you DO NOT access PCP projects or services.
This situation is evolving and PCP staff are monitoring it closely and will provide regular updates. We urge people to think through the practicalities of their own circumstances and take necessary steps to safeguard themselves and others.
