COVID-19 (Coronavirus) update

Latest update from Pioneering Care Partnership

Message from the Pioneering Care Centre:

The doors to the Pioneering Care Centre (PCC) have been closed to the community for over a year. Our fantastic team has been working behind the scenes at home and in socially distanced working spaces to support the return of face-to-face classes, courses and community use of PCC.

Although COVID-19 has kept us from taking part in face-to-face activities throughout 2020 to present day, our team have adapted to bring you a virtual This Girl Can fitness class. Many services that use PCC have also stayed connected with their service users through virtual platforms.

The PCC team are available for enquiries or support, by calling the Centre on 01325 321234.

Future updates of PCC’s reopening will be shared via our website and social media pages when finalised. Follow us on Facebook or Twitter @PioneeringCare. We can’t wait to welcome you back.

Message from Pioneering Care Partnership:

The Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP) has staff based across the North East, with many usually based at the Head Office, Pioneering Care Centre (PCC), in Newton Aycliffe. Staff across projects and services throughout the region have been working remotely at home. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them for all their hard and rewarding work during challenging times.

We have seen our staff across PCP, projects and services strive to continue to make a difference for communities. The new COVID-19 Stockton Community Champions and the County Durham COVID Resilience Team are community support options created in a response to the pandemic. We are proud of our team at PCP for shaping the way they work and community priorities, to improve people’s lives and wellbeing.

Plans for staff to return to working at sites across the region are being completed. We look forward to welcoming back familiar faces, whilst taking extra measures to ensure staff safety, comfort and support in doing so.

Throughout the pandemic, PCP has expanded due to community support demand. A return to PCC and other sites across the North East will see many new faces join the team. We’d like to thank new members of the PCP team for their patience and understanding whilst working at home.

Future updates set to be released soon.
