Positive Steps

Positive Steps supports people who are currently unemployed who receive incapacity benefit or are over 50 years old, to get back into volunteering, training and/or employment.

The programme provides people with free, advice, guidance and support from a learning mentor who helps individuals to create an action plan, assess skills and experience, and write a C.V. or letters to potential employers, search for jobs and access training.

The programme is run by Sedgefield Employability Consortium.

Free courses coming soon:

Introduction to Working in the Care Sector, this course will introduce you to working in a care environment and will cover topics such as: Protection of Vulnerable Adults (POVA), Food Hygiene and Health and Safety.

The course is delivered over 5 sessions and is due to start:

Thrusday 31 March
9.30am - 3.00pm

Price: Free to anyone who is unemployed and over 18.

Booking is essential.
