The Options project provides support to young adults with learning and/or physical disabilities. The project provides educational and social opportunities to promote independence, choice and personal development. Activities have included workshops on independent living skills, adult education sessions, visits to gym, rock climbing, pub lunches and residential trips to Lake District.
The Options project also runs an evening Social Club, which is open to any adult over 18 years old who has a disability. The club offers a safe and friendly environment for local disabled people to socialise, make new friends, try new activities and give carers a short break from their caring responsibilities.
Social Club members are given the opportunity to take part in a wide range of activities including, pool, table tennis, Wii games, table games, bingo, PS2 games, computer and internet access and discos.
The Social Club is a great way to meet friends old and new and have a fun, relaxed evening.
